In accordance with social distancing guidelines the daily operations of Maryland’s legislature have changed and four experienced reporters ( Danielle Gaines, Pamela Wood, Ovetta Wiggins, and Bryan Sears detail in this episode how they are navigating their new positions.

Danielle Gaines, Maryland Matters
Danielle Gaines most recently worked for Bethesda Beat covering Montgomery County. Previously, she spent six years at The Frederick News-Post as the paper’s principal government and politics reporter for half that time, covering courts and legal affairs before that. She also reported for the now-defunct The Gazette of Politics and Business in Maryland and previously worked as a county government and education reporter at the Merced Sun-Star in California’s Central Valley.

Pamela Wood, Baltimore Sun
Pamela Wood covers Maryland politics from The Baltimore Sun’s State House bureau in Annapolis. She’s been with The Baltimore Sun since 2013, and previously wrote for The Capital, the Maryland Gazette, the Daily Times (Salisbury) and Gannett News Service. She grew up in Howard County and graduated from the University of Maryland.

Ovetta Wiggins, Washington Post
Ovetta Wiggins covers Maryland state politics in Annapolis. She came to The Washington Post in 2003 and has covered numerous stories about Prince George’s County during that time, including the rise and fall of former County Executive Jack B. Johnson, the county’s foreclosure crisis, and the attempt by County Executive Rushern L. Baker III to take over the school system. She graduated fromRutgers University and previously worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Bergen Record in New Jersey.
