In a world where fake news can overshadow the hard work of journalists, Scott Yates the U.S Director of the Journalism Trust Inititave is working on a tool to help publications set transparency standards.The common goal is to mend the distrust between the general public and reporters.

Scott Yates, U.S Director and Strategic Adviser for the Journalism Trust Initiative

Scott Yates started three companies. Yates made money for investors, created new jobs, and solved what seemed like intractable problems. He loves that perhaps most of all.

Before that he was a writer and reporter, and worked in communications for the state government and ran a think tank, wrote a book, served as a ghostwriter for a governor.

Yates is now on a journey working to help solve misinformation problems around the world.
